The Liberia Nationwide Police (LNP) has introduced the dismissal of two of its officers for allegedly stealing t-shirts in the course of the latest demolition train on the former headquarters of the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) in Congo City.

Throughout the enforcement of a court-ordered eviction on the CDC headquarters on August 23, 2025, Officers Patrolmen Edwin T. Ceasar and Stephen B. Wanawon had been caught on dwell digital camera taking what seemed to be human hair. When seen, they reportedly returned the t-shirts to the bottom.

Nevertheless, in a video posted on the Liberia Nationwide Police’s official Fb web page, Police Inspector Common Gregory Coleman said that, following an inner administrative investigation performed by the Skilled Requirements Division, it was confirmed that Patrolmen Edwin T. Ceasar and Stephen B. Wanawon dedicated the acts and have been dismissed for felony misconduct, abuse of authority, and unsatisfactory conduct.

“These actions contravene the Liberia Nationwide Police administrative directions on self-discipline and the skilled requirements outlined within the LNP Self-discipline Laws of 2016,” Inspector Common Coldman mentioned.

In the meantime, he said that each officers have been formally dismissed from the police power and handed over to the Felony Investigation Division for additional investigation and potential prosecution.
