NEW YORK — Perry Archangelo Bamonte, longtime guitarist and keyboardist for the influential goth band The Treatment, has died. He was 65.
The band made the announcement on their official web site on Friday.
“It’s with monumental disappointment that we affirm the dying of our nice good friend and bandmate Perry Bamonte, who handed away after a brief sickness at dwelling over Christmas,” the band wrote.
“Quiet, intense, intuitive, fixed and vastly inventive, ‘Teddy’ was a heat hearted and very important a part of The Cure story,” the assertion continued. “Our ideas and condolences are with all his household. He will likely be very significantly missed.”
Bamonte labored with the band in numerous roles from 1984 to 1989, together with as roadie and guitar tech. He formally joined the band in 1990, when keyboardist Roger O’Donnell stop.
