    Michigan LDS chapel mass shooting: What we know about the victims

    4 individuals had been killed and eight others had been injured in a mass shooting and fire during worship services at a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel in Grand Blanc, Michigan, on Sunday.

    “We mourn with our members who’ve misplaced family members, and we take part prayer for consolation with others world wide who’re affected by comparable tragedies,” Dallin H. Oaks, president of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, mentioned in an announcement.

    “All of us search solutions and understanding within the wake of trauma, shock, and grief. We’re grateful to all who’re reaching out with service, prayers, and phrases of help throughout this troublesome time,” Oaks mentioned.

    John Bond — a beloved husband, father and grandfather — was among the many 4 individuals killed within the taking pictures, his household confirmed to ABC Information.

    A nine-year veteran of the US Navy, Bond was a “well-known and beloved member of his household and lively in his group,” his household mentioned.

    He beloved spending time together with his household and grandkids, enjoying golf and researching trains, they mentioned.
