MONROVIA-The Ministry of Inside Affairs has transitioned into the Ministry of Native Authorities. The transfer represents a serious step ahead within the nation’s decentralization and native governance reform agenda.
The transition was confirmed on Tuesday by Native Authorities Minister Francis Nyumalin, who acknowledged that the change relies on the Native Authorities Act enacted by the Nationwide Legislature and authorized by the President in 2018.
Minister Nyumalin defined that the regulation establishes the authorized and institutional framework for decentralization, offering for the switch and restructuring of sure governmental powers and obligations to native authorities.
“The transformation of the ministry is meant to strengthen native governance, enhance public service supply, and produce authorities nearer to the folks”, minister Nyumalin stated.
