    Liberia’s Ambassador Presents Letters of Credence to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi

    President El-Sisi warmly welcomed Ambassador Fahnbulleh, wished him success in his new project, and requested that he convey his fraternal greetings and greatest needs to President Boakai.

    CAIRO, Egypt – The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Liberia to the Arab Republic of Egypt, with concurrent accreditation to Syria, Jordan, Sudan, Libya, and Lebanon, His Excellency Henry Boima Fahnbulleh, has formally offered his Letters of Credence to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

    The presentation ceremony occurred on the Ittihadiya Presidential Palace in the Heliopolis district of Cairo, Egypt.

    In the course of the ceremony, Ambassador Fahnbulleh conveyed heat greetings and greatest needs from His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, President of the Republic of Liberia, to President El-Sisi. The Liberian Envoy expressed his gratitude for the chance to characterize Liberia and reaffirmed his dedication to strengthening the longstanding ties of friendship and cooperation between Liberia and Egypt — relations that date again to 1957.

    Previous to the official presentation on the Presidential Palace, and consistent with diplomatic protocol, Ambassador Fahnbulleh met with Ambassador Wael Nasr El-Din Attia, Assistant Minister of International Affairs for State Protocol, on the Ministry of International Affairs headquarters in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital, the place he offered copies of his credentials on Thursday, October 16, 2025.

    This marks the official graduation of Ambassador Fahnbulleh’s diplomatic tenure in Cairo and reaffirms Liberia’s dedication to strengthening its partnership with Egypt in areas of mutual curiosity.

    Liberia and Egypt share a historic diplomatic relationship grounded in mutual respect and collaboration, with Egypt’s continued assist to Liberia in schooling, technical help, infrastructure, and capability constructing remaining extremely valued.

    Following the credential presentation, the Liberian Embassy in Cairo hosted a Public Diplomacy Reception in honor of Ambassador Fahnbulleh. Welcoming him with “optimism and delight,” Chargé d’Affaires a.i., Madam Marriam F. Kupee, expressed confidence that his management will additional improve bilateral ties.

    The reception was attended by a bunch of dignitaries and friends, together with Liberia’s Everlasting Consultant to the IMO, Ambassador Robert Kpadeh, and his Alternate Consultant, Dr. Harry Conway, each visiting Egypt as friends of the Egyptian Maritime Authority.

    Additionally in attendance have been Liberian and Egyptian nationals, in addition to representatives from the coed communities of Sierra Leone, Guinea, Ivory Coast, and the Basic Union for African College students in Egypt.

    The ceremony concluded with mild refreshments, casual interactions, and picture periods with the brand new Liberian Envoy.
