Monrovia-The Liberia Nationwide Police (LNP) has categorically denounced what they referred to as fraudulent and misleading statements circulating on social media, falsely attributed to the LNP and its spokesperson, DCP Cecelia G. Clarke.
Based on a launch from the LNP, it says that the assertion is totally false and doesn’t characterize the official stance or operations of the Liberia Nationwide Police.
“We urge the general public to DISREGARD THIS FABRICATED MESSAGE, which is designed to unfold misinformation and trigger pointless alarm” Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cecelia G. Clarke mentioned in an announcement launched earlier Monday morning in Monrovia.
Based on her, the LNP stays absolutely dedicated to upholding legislation and order whereas respecting the constitutional rights and freedoms of all residents stating that any official statements from the LNP will ONLY be issued by way of their verified communication channels.
“We take this matter critically and can pursue acceptable motion in opposition to people chargeable for spreading such falsehoods. The general public is strongly suggested to depend on official sources for correct and reliable data relating to police directives” she concluded.
