    Liberian News: Acting LEC’s MD Summoned

    Monrovia-Appearing Managing Director of the Liberia Electrical energy Company (LEC), Mohammed M. Sheriff has been summoned by the management of the Home of Representatives to seem earlier than it, to indicate trigger why he shouldn’t be held in contempt for obstructing the capabilities of the Home.

    Summoning him follows his failure to honor an earlier invitation prolonged by the Home management. Although deputies from the LEC have been current, they have been discharged as a result of absence of formal communication from the Appearing MD and his personal non-appearance.

    The movement to summon the LEC official was proffered by Rep. Foday Fahnbulleh and subsequently upheld by the Home management. The motion underscores the Legislature’s dedication to accountability and institutional respect.

    Moreover, the plenary acquired a proper petition from River Gee County Electoral District #2 Consultant, Hon. Isaac B. Choloplay Wuo. Consultant Wuo referred to as on LEC administration to handle the continuing electrical energy outage in River Gee County, demanding an in depth clarification for the disruption and a concrete plan for restoring energy to affected communities.

    Rep. Wuo emphasised the extreme hardships residents are enduring as a result of blackout, together with the unfavourable influence on important providers reminiscent of healthcare, schooling, and commerce.

    The Home management has reaffirmed its intent to pursue a swift decision to the difficulty and can press the LEC for assurances that energy can be restored to River Gee County with out additional delays”
