    Liberian Delegation Attends Pre-COP30 Meetings in Belém, Brazil

    Belém, Brazil – A Liberian delegation is taking part in high-level pre-COP30 conferences in Belém, Brazil, forward of the official opening of the thirtieth United Nations Local weather Change Convention (COP30) on Monday, November 10, 2025.

    The delegation consists of Hon. Dehpue Y. Zuo, Deputy Minister for Financial Administration on the Ministry of Finance and Improvement Planning, and Dr. Emmanuel Okay. Urey Yarkpawolo, Govt Director of the Environmental Safety Company (EPA).

    Liberia’s participation highlights the nation’s dedication to local weather motion, sustainable finance, and environmental safety. The conferences carry collectively world leaders, negotiators, and policymakers to coordinate methods on local weather financing, resilience constructing, and the implementation of the Paris Settlement.

    Hon. Zuo and Dr. Yarkpawolo have been holding bilateral discussions and attending strategic classes to make sure that Liberia’s local weather priorities are represented within the COP30 agenda.

    As a part of Liberia’s actions, the EPA will open the Liberia Pavilion on November 10, 2025. The pavilion will showcase the nation’s progress in environmental safety, forest conservation, renewable vitality improvement, and local weather change mitigation. It can additionally spotlight ongoing efforts towards constructing a inexperienced and sustainable financial system.

    Different members of the delegation are taking part in technical and aspect conferences designed to strengthen coordination amongst authorities establishments, improvement companions, and civil society teams engaged on climate-related initiatives.

    COP30, scheduled for November 10–21, 2025, will carry collectively representatives from greater than 190 nations underneath the United Nations Framework Conference on Local weather Change (UNFCCC). 

    The convention will give attention to accelerating world efforts to scale back greenhouse fuel emissions, enhance entry to local weather finance, and assist adaptation measures in susceptible nations, together with Liberia.
