    Liberia: UL Faculty Votes to Boycott Academic Activities Over Unresolved Welfare Issues

    Monrovia — The College of Liberia School Affiliation (ULFA), Inc. has introduced an indefinite boycott of all tutorial actions on the state-run college following an emergency basic meeting held Friday, August 29, on the Capitol Hill campus.

    The choice stems from a July 18, 2025 Normal Meeting mandate which instructed ULFA’s Government Committee to have interaction the College of Liberia Administration and different stakeholders on a sequence of long-standing issues affecting school welfare.

    Based on ULFA, key points raised embody poor sanitary circumstances throughout campuses, delayed school promotions, wage disparities, lack of correct social safety advantages, challenges confronted by school on examine depart, and the necessity for campus renovations. Extra instant issues highlighted have been the excellent funds of overload and trip faculty salaries.

    In a unanimous vote throughout Friday’s meeting, ULFA resolved that school members would disengage from all tutorial actions till a negotiated Collective Bargaining Settlement (CBA) is signed by the College of Liberia Administration, the Authorities of Liberia, and ULFA.

    “All school members are urged to disengage from any deliberate tutorial actions on all campuses of the UL till additional discover,” the affiliation declared in a press release signed by its Secretary.
