Monrovia – The Supreme Courtroom of Liberia has sentenced Justine Oldpa Yeazeahn, popularly referred to as Prophet Key, to 6 months in jail for contempt.

The ruling was handed down on Friday, a day after Prophet Key appeared earlier than the Full Bench of the Supreme Courtroom and pleaded responsible, asking the justices to mood justice with mercy.

Prophet Key had been summoned by the Excessive Courtroom to point out trigger why he shouldn’t be held in contempt for publicly ridiculing the Courtroom. The fees stemmed from social media statements through which he verbally attacked Chief Justice Yarmin Quiqui Gbeisay and his mom, and accused the Supreme Courtroom of corruption.

In its determination, the Courtroom discovered his actions contemptuous and damaging to the integrity of the judiciary, warranting a custodial sentence.
