    Monrovia – President Joseph Nyuma Boakai and U.S. Ambassador Mark Toner have reaffirmed the long-standing and historic relationship between Liberia and the USA throughout a ceremony commemorating the 249th anniversary of American independence.

    The colourful occasion, hosted by the U.S. Embassy in Monrovia, introduced collectively high-ranking Liberian authorities officers, together with Home Speaker Richard Koon, senior cupboard members, and members of the diplomatic corps.

    In his remarks, President Boakai praised the USA’ newly launched overseas coverage—centered on industrial diplomacy—and pledged his administration’s dedication to fostering a business-friendly setting that encourages funding and sustainable financial development.

    U.S. Ambassador Mark Toner started his speech by congratulating President Boakai on efficiently guiding Liberia’s marketing campaign for a non-permanent seat on the United Nations Safety Council. He mentioned Liberia’s election to the UN Safety Council as a non-permanent member reaffirmed Liberia’s standing as a secure democracy and acknowledged its rising regional and world management function.

    Ambassador Toner additionally lauded the U.S. Company for Worldwide Improvement (USAID) for its 64 years of steady assist to Liberia, noting that the 2 nations are getting ready to a renewed partnership grounded in financial alternative and mutual prosperity.

    The celebration started with the taking part in of the nationwide anthems of each Liberia and the USA. Historically, the U.S. Embassy in Monrovia hosts the occasion forward of the official Independence Day celebration on July 4.
