    Liberia: ORWOCH and AWLN Liberia Convene Inter-generational Dialogue to Strengthen Women’s Political Leadership ahead of the 2029 Elections

    Monrovia – The Group for Ladies and Youngsters (ORWOCH), in partnership with the African Ladies Leaders Community (AWLN) Liberia Chapter, will convene a one-day Intergenerational Dialogue on 27 January 2026. The occasion will happen on the Ballroom, EJS Ministerial Advanced in Monrovia.

    The nationwide convening will carry collectively girls legislators, skilled and rising girls leaders, civil society actors, youth leaders, and chosen allies. Contributors will mirror on current electoral cycles and put together for stronger girls’s participation forward of the 2029 elections.

    Ladies stay underrepresented in political and decision-making areas in Liberia. Progress is slowed by weak enforcement of gender quotas, violence towards girls in politics, and social norms that restrict girls’s management.

    This system will embody opening remarks and a keynote deal with. It can function thematic panel discussions and moderated intergenerational roundtable periods. Discussions will give attention to girls’s political participation, electoral reform and momentary particular measures, peace and safety, and social norm change.

    The dialogue has two aims. The primary is to advertise younger girls’s political management by mentorship, information trade, and stronger networks throughout generations.
