    Liberia: Opposition CDC to Break Ground for New Party Headquarters on October 18

    Monrovia – The Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) has introduced October 18, 2025 because the official date for the groundbreaking of its new nationwide headquarters, almost two months after its earlier headquarters was demolished by court docket order on August 23.

    Cllr. J. Fonati Koffa, Chairman of the CDC Headquarters Building Committee, made the disclosure on Monday throughout a press convention held on the Boulevard Palace Lodge in Monrovia.

    In keeping with Cllr. Koffa, the brand new headquarters will probably be constructed at a web site situated reverse the Higher Refuge Temple Church. He revealed that the groundbreaking ceremony will probably be led by former President George Manneh Weah, the celebration’s Commonplace Bearer.

    As a part of the weekend actions, a thanksgiving service will probably be held on Sunday, October 19 on the Forky Klon Jlaleh Household Christian Fellowship Church, a church based by former President Weah to specific gratitude for the celebration’s resilience.

    “CDC, a celebration with all of our struggles, continues to outlive within the midst of adversity,” Cllr.  Koffa remarked. “Destruction usually provides rise to new beginnings. This challenge is not only about rebuilding a construction, however about reaffirming our dedication to the beliefs that based our,’’ he stated.

    Cllr. Koffa expressed appreciation to these contributing towards the challenge, revealing that assist has come from a various group of Liberians—together with members of the ruling Unity Celebration and opposition events.

    He disclosed the next breakdown of donors: 52% are CDC Partisans, 18% are from the ruling Unity Celebration (UP), 10% are independents, 10% belongs to different opposition events, 10% most popular to stay nameless

    “This can be a testomony to the shared spirit of nationwide unity and cooperation past celebration strains,” he said.

    With a contact of humor, Cllr. Koffa added: “If you wish to know the names of our Unity Celebration contributors, meet me in Room 1026.”

     The announcement indicators a brand new chapter for the CDC because it rebuilds each bodily and symbolically within the wake of current setbacks.
