    Liberia: Justice Ministry Warns Lawmakers, Ministers, Judges Against Unauthorized Siren Use

    Monrovia – The Ministry of Justice has issued a stern warning towards the misuse of sirens on Liberian roads, clarifying that no workplace, rank, or place robotically entitles anybody to put in or function sirens.

    In an announcement signed by Director of Press and Public Affairs, Jutonu Kollie, the Ministry emphasised that “siren privileges aren’t hooked up to public workplace, rank, standing, or place.”

    “Ministers, legislators, judges, heads of companies, political appointees, non-public safety escorts, and personal residents aren’t licensed to put in or use sirens except their autos fall squarely throughout the classes offered by legislation,” the assertion learn.

    The Ministry warned that it’s going to strictly implement Title 38, Chapter 6, Part 6.21 of the Car and Site visitors Regulation.

    “Any individual discovered putting in, working, or utilizing a siren opposite to the legislation will face fast enforcement motion, together with quotation, seizure of illegal tools, fines, prosecution, and every other penalties offered by legislation,” Kollie stated.

    Regulation enforcement authorities nationwide have been directed to behave “with out exception”, making certain that emergency privileges stay reserved for lawful and bonafide use.

    The Ministry expressed “critical concern” over the rising misuse of sirens by unauthorized people. It famous that sirens are more and more getting used for “functions unrelated to emergency response, together with illegal clearing of visitors and the assertion of improper highway precedence.”

    Such conduct, the Ministry pressured, violates the Car and Site visitors Regulation and undermines public security, visitors self-discipline, and the credibility of official emergency companies.
