    Liberia: Information Minister Jerolinmek Piah Orders GSA Dress Code Memo Ignored

    Monrovia – Liberia’s Minister of Info, Jerolinmek Matthew Piah, has distanced the federal government from an inside memorandum purportedly issued by the Normal Providers Company (GSA).

    Min. Piah in response to the directive whereas in dialog with Spoon Speak on the Spoon Communications Community, described the doc attributed to the GSA as unofficial and urged the general public to ignore it.

    The memo, dated September 2, 2025, and signed by Boimah A. Sonnie, Director of Human Sources on the GSA, outlined a listing of gown codes allegedly banned on the company’s premises.

    It instructed safety personnel to implement restrictions on workers and guests, forbidding apparel resembling bathe slippers, sleeveless blouses, quick skirts and clothes above the knees, muscle shirts, tracksuits, tight denims, bushy beards, and even dreadlocks artificially grown by males.

    “Pricey All, please observe the beneath forbidden gown codes on the GSA compound. The Safety Workers are strictly instructed to implement this regulation,” the memo said, itemizing the 12 classes of banned clothes and kinds.

    The doc which additionally circulated broadly on social media, then drew public consideration earlier than the matter was strongly reacted to by the federal government’s lead spokesperson.

    Minister Piah furthered that there was no such authorities coverage, suggesting that the general public shouldn’t connect legitimacy to the mentioned memo.

    “If the memo from GSA is certainly genuine, it must be disregarded instantly, as there is no such thing as a coverage of such within the authorities,” Piah mentioned in a stay interview on Spoon TV.

    As of press time, the GSA has not issued an official assertion clarifying whether or not the memo was approved internally or represents the non-public directives of sure directors.
