Monrovia – Karishma Pelham-Raad, Liberia’s Assistant Minister for Worldwide Organizations, tendered her resignation on Monday following a suspension from her put up.
An inner memo from International Affairs Minister Sara Beysolow Nyantee, addressed to all deputy ministers, said that Pelham-Raad had been suspended by the Govt Mansion on September 3, 2025, from her position as Assistant Minister for the Bureau of Worldwide Organizations.
The memo, dated September 4, 2025, additional indicated that Daniel Koikoi would function Officer-in-Cost of the Bureau, working carefully with Dr. Ibrahim A. Nyei, Deputy Minister for Worldwide Cooperation and Financial Integration. Minister Nyantee requested all workers to “accord Hon. Koikoi all crucial help” throughout the discharge of his duties.
FrontPage Africa gathered that Pelham Raad’s was suspended “for habits inconsistent with the diplomatic tradition of the Ministry of International Affairs and for gross insubordination.”
In accordance with sources, the suspension adopted an incident wherein Pelham-Raad allegedly disrespected a senior official at Liberia’s Everlasting Mission to the United Nations. The inner dispute in the end led to her suspension and subsequent resignation.
The Govt Mansion has confirmed that President Boakai has accepted her resignation.
