    Monrovia-November 27, 2025: Former Cultural Ambassador and Government Director of Liberia Crusader for Peace, Juli Endee, has known as on the Liberian authorities to take decisive motion to curb the rising abuse of ladies and kids on social media, warning that the development is eroding the dignity and popularity of ladies throughout the nation.

    Ambassador Endee described the scenario as “going above human description,” stressing that dangerous on-line content material, bullying, and verbal assaults towards ladies and kids have reached alarming ranges and should be addressed urgently by stronger interventions.

    She made the decision whereas delivering the keynote tackle on the official launch of the 16 Days of Activism towards Sexual and Gender-Primarily based Violence, organized by the Ministry of Gender, Youngsters and Social Safety in Congo City.

    In response to her, the unchecked abuse of ladies and kids on digital platforms not solely violates their rights but in addition contributes to a tradition of intimidation and humiliation that undermines Liberia’s efforts to advertise gender equality and shield weak teams.

    Ambassador Endee urged the federal government to start taking agency authorized motion towards people who habitually use social media to bully, defame, and degrade ladies and kids, emphasizing that accountability is crucial in restoring respect and selling safer on-line areas.

    She additional appealed for concrete budgetary allocations within the 2026 nationwide price range to strengthen applications aimed toward combating sexual and gender-based violence, noting that with out ample funding, efforts to guard survivors and forestall abuse would stay ineffective.

    The launch of the 16 Days of Activism marks Liberia’s continued dedication to elevating consciousness and mobilizing motion towards sexual and gender-based violence, with stakeholders calling for collective accountability from authorities, civil society, and the general public to safeguard the rights and dignity of ladies and kids.
