    Ex-President Sirleaf Gets Leadership Award

    The Younger Political Management College Africa (YPLS Africa) has bestowed its prestigious Honorary Management Award on former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf in recognition of her unwavering dedication to democracy and youth management on the continent.

    The award ceremony marked a historic second for YPLS Africa which has grown into one of many main platforms for nurturing rising democratic leaders throughout Africa.

    Madam Sirleaf, Africa’s first elected feminine head of state, performed a pivotal position within the college’s beginnings because the inaugural Keynote Speaker. Her phrases of encouragement in that first 12 months, organizers say planted a seed of inspiration that has blossomed right into a motion of younger change-makers.

    Since then, Madam Sirleaf has remained a constant supporter of YPLS Africa, mentoring individuals, attending packages, and championing the imaginative and prescient of empowering the subsequent technology of democratic leaders.

    In receiving the award, Madam Sirleaf expressed heartfelt gratitude. “I didn’t see this coming, and I’m grateful for the popularity,” she stated including, “I’m proud to be a part of the Younger Political Management College Africa convened by NAYMORE.

    She added that, “Empowering younger individuals to be brokers of change throughout Africa is key, and I’m impressed by the unimaginable work the Younger Political Management College Africa is doing. I really feel honored to be a part of this success.”

    YPLS Africa organizers described the award as each a tribute to Madam Sirleaf’s legacy and a reaffirmation of the varsity’s mission. “Her enduring help and profound knowledge proceed to encourage our mission of empowering rising leaders throughout Africa,” the establishment stated in an announcement.

    The popularity comes shortly after NAYMOTE’s Government Director, Eddie D. Jarwolo, returned from a go to to Ghana, the place he met with companions and alumni of this system forward of Ghana’s internet hosting of YPLS Africa in 2026. In his message, Jarwolo reaffirmed the establishment’s dedication to advancing youth management throughout the continent.
