    EU: ECOWAS Legislators Advocate 20% Budget

    MONROVIA-The Authorities of Liberia, by way of the Ministry of Finance and Improvement Planning and its Nationwide Authorizing Workplace (MFDP/NAO), is proud to announce main strides beneath the “Mild Up South-East Liberia” (LUSE) electrification program, funded by the European Union (EU) by way of its eleventh European Improvement Fund (EDF).

    Current weeks have seen outstanding progress in Greenville, Buchanan, and Barclayville, three cities lengthy disadvantaged of dependable electrical energy entry.

    On June 16, 2025, residents of Greenville Metropolis, Sinoe County, welcomed the offloading of 24 truckloads with monopoles delivered from Monrovia. Excavation works at the moment are ongoing in Murrayville Township, the place a photo voltaic subject is being developed.

    Alongside this, building of a 2-megawatt mini hydro energy plant has begun on the Sinoe River Rapids. Each initiatives are being funded by the EU.
