LONDON — A double-decker bus carrying highschool college students plunged right into a river in England Thursday, sending the driving force and two passengers to the hospital and leaving greater than a dozen others with minor injures, officers stated.

The bus carrying college students from Barton Peveril Sixth Type School, a faculty for 16- to 18-year-olds, went off a highway in Eastleigh, close to the south coast. The reason for the crash was beneath investigation.

“Stories recommend the bus left the freeway and got here to relaxation in a shallow river,” stated Richard Tyldsley, normal supervisor of Bluestar Bus. “Our driver and no less than two of the passengers have confirmed accidents, and we’re awaiting additional updates on the standing of others on-board.”

All 19 passengers on board had been off the bus and about 14 had been handled on the scene by paramedics, a South Central Ambulance Service spokesperson stated.

Two helicopters, 5 ambulances and fireplace crews responded to the crash.

The bus firm didn’t instantly know the circumstances of the crash, however was investigating and cooperating with police probing the incident.
