    Cause of death is suicide

    The Ministry of Justice has formally concluded its investigation into the controversial loss of life of Mr. Anwar Futloo, former Supervisor of the Boulevard Palace Resort, declaring that an official post-mortem has confirmed he died by suicide.

    Based on a press release issued on December 3, 2025, and signed by Jutonu Y. Kollie, Director of Press and Public Affairs, the Ministry disclosed that it had requested a full post-mortem within the wake of widespread public concern and conflicting early experiences surrounding the case.

    The post-mortem was carried out on January 7, 2025, by state pathologist Dr. Benedict Kolee at St. Moses Funeral Parlours on the Somalia Drive. Relations of the late Futloo, legislation enforcement officers, and mortuary employees have been all current in the course of the examination.

    The Ministry reported that the findings have been conclusive. “The post-mortem report has established that the reason for loss of life is unnatural, being in line with a self-directed motion, which interpretation is that the reason for loss of life of Mr. Futloo is suicide,” the discharge acknowledged.
