    Boakai issues new Executive Order affecting the Liberia’s Railway

    MONROVIA, October 17, 2025. President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has issued Govt Order No. 153, renewing and increasing the mandate of the Liberia Nationwide Railway Authority (LNRA), a key step towards constructing a unified, protected, and environment friendly nationwide rail system.

    The brand new Govt Order renews and refocuses Govt Order No. 136, reaffirming the LNRA because the central regulatory and facilitative physique liable for overseeing Liberia’s railway community. It underscores the railway sector’s strategic position in advancing nationwide improvement, regional integration, and world competitiveness, significantly for key industries equivalent to mining, agriculture, and forestry.
