PARIS, France — Liberia’s Ambassador to France, Dr. Teeko T. Yorlay, has superior strategic bilateral cooperation with the French Authorities within the areas of fisheries, forestry, and environmental safety, throughout a high-level assembly with Gabriel Normand, Advisor to the French Minister for Ecological Transition.
Ambassador Yorlay underscored Liberia’s dedication to strengthening ties with France and highlighted three precedence areas for collaboration: sustainable fisheries administration, forest conservation, and local weather resilience.
Fisheries
The Ambassador emphasised the threats of local weather change to Liberia’s shoreline, citing sea-level rise, erosion, and excessive climate. He appealed for France’s help in defending Liberia’s Unique Financial Zone (EEZ) from unlawful fishing and air pollution; constructing local weather resilience and sustainable marine industries; and advancing tutorial and technical cooperation, significantly by way of the College of Liberia’s Fisheries Division.
Forestry
