    Alpha Phi Alpha Joins National March, Calls for Urgent Action to End Drug Crisis in Liberia

    Monrovia – As campaigners march towards drug abuse and trafficking immediately, the Eta Epsilon Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. has joined hundreds of residents, civil society organizations, and authorities officers in a unified name for decisive motion to finish the nation’s escalating drug disaster.

    In a strong assertion, the fraternity—identified for its longstanding custom of civic activism and social justice—declared its full assist for the nationwide marketing campaign, warning that the scourge of drug abuse is destroying households, crippling the nation’s youth, and eroding Liberia’s ethical and social foundations.

    “We Can not Stand Idle”
    “As we speak, we march not solely as Alpha males, however as fathers, brothers, uncles, mentors, and neighborhood leaders,” mentioned Bro. B. Elias Shoniyin, President of the Eta Epsilon Lambda Chapter. “We can not stand idle whereas the youth of Liberia are being destroyed by medicine. The time for silence is over. We name on our lawmakers to listen to this cry and act with the urgency this disaster calls for.”

    The fraternity’s participation within the August 7 march—culminating on the Capitol Constructing, the symbolic seat of the nation’s democracy—indicators a broader push for stronger laws and harder enforcement towards drug trafficking, expanded entry to rehabilitation and restoration providers and a coordinated and sustained nationwide response to guard Liberia’s future generations.

    Fraternity’s Commitments:
    In its assertion, the Eta Epsilon Lambda Chapter pledged to educate and empower younger Liberians to withstand drug use and peer strain, collaborate with authorities, civil society, and faith-based organizations and assist long-term initiatives that provide hope and alternative to the nation’s youth.
