    Monrovia – Liberia has secured a historic victory, successful a non-permanent seat on the United Nations Safety Council (UNSC) for the 2026–2027 time period. Operating unopposed, Liberia wanted not less than 128 votes and overwhelmingly secured the seat with 181 votes throughout elections held on the UN Headquarters in New York.
