    Liberia: NEC Reshuffles Top Staff, Names New Communications Director

    Monrovia – The Nationwide Elections Fee of Liberia (NEC) has introduced a sequence of key personnel transfers and promotions affecting its Communications, Political Affairs, and Monitoring and Analysis (M&E) departments, in a transfer geared toward strengthening institutional effectivity and operational effectiveness.

    Performing on suggestions from the Division of Administration and the NEC Secretariat, the Board of Commissioners (BoC) authorised the switch of Mr. Prince Dunbar, outgoing Director of Communications, to the place of Director of Political Affairs. The Fee cited Mr. Dunbar’s intensive expertise and confirmed management as key property for his new position.

    In a associated growth, Mr. Titus W. Tokpah, Sr., who has served as Deputy Director of Communications since becoming a member of the Fee in July 2024, has been promoted to Director of Communications. In response to the NEC, Mr. Tokpah performed a central position in strengthening the Fee’s public picture by efficient media engagement, public messaging, and elevated visibility of NEC actions.

    In the meantime, Mr. Michael A. Clarke, previously Director of Political Affairs and beforehand Deputy Director of the Monitoring and Analysis Part, has been transferred to function Director of the M&E Part. The Fee famous that Mr. Clarke’s deep institutional information and technical expertise make him nicely suited to offer management and operational oversight within the M&E Division.

    The NEC Secretariat mentioned the personnel adjustments have been beneficial to handle vital staffing wants, improve inner coordination, and make sure the Fee stays nicely positioned to ship on its constitutional mandate.
