Monrovia, February 6, 2026: The Home of Representatives has elected a brand new Deputy Chief Clerk and Sergeant-at-Arms to fill vacancies created by the premature passing of two senior officers of the Home.
The vacancies occurred following the loss of life of Deputy Chief Clerk C. Comicks Chea and Sergeant-at-Arms B/Gen. Martin T. Johnson, who handed on June 1 and June 11, 2025, respectively.
On Thursday, February 5, 2026, Mrs. Tuah Okay. Woods Ross was elected on a white poll as the brand new Deputy Chief Clerk, changing the late C. Comicks Chea. Previous to her election, Mrs. Woods Ross served as Junior Stenographer on the Home of Representatives.
Upon her election, Mrs. Woods Ross pledged to serve diligently and actually. She expressed gratitude to the lawmakers, the Ladies’s Legislative Caucus, and her quick supervisor for the arrogance reposed in her.
On the similar time, Mr. Morris Gibson was elected on a white poll as the brand new Sergeant-at-Arms, changing the late Gen. Martin T. Johnson, who served the Home for a few years. Previous to his election, Mr. Gibson was the Deputy Sergeant-at-Arms of the Home of Representatives.
The Home reaffirmed its dedication to continuity, professionalism, and devoted service because it honors the legacy of its fallen officers whereas entrusting new management with these vital obligations.
