    3 killed in catamaran accident on Florida river

    Three individuals have been killed on Saturday when a catamaran they have been aboard flipped over and ejected them into the Caloosahatchee River on Florida’s Gulf Coast, authorities mentioned.

    The tragedy unfolded round 4 p.m. native time close to the Cape Coral Yacht Membership between Cape Coral and Fort Myers, in line with the Lee County Marine Emergency Response Crew.

    4 individuals have been aboard the catamaran when it overturned, officers mentioned.

    Throughout a search by state, native and federal businesses, three of the victims have been pulled from the river on Saturday. Two of the victims have been pronounced lifeless, whereas the third sufferer remained in essential situation in a hospital on Sunday, officers mentioned.

    On Sunday, a fourth sufferer, described as a 60-year-old lacking because the accident, was discovered lifeless and retrieved from the river following an intensive search by the U.S. Coast Guard, in line with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Fee.

    The names of the three deceased victims weren’t instantly launched.

    The reason for the boating accident stays beneath investigation, in line with the Coast Guard.
