    911 calls released in Charlotte light rail stabbing: ‘People are just freaking out’

    Police in North Carolina have launched a number of 911 calls made after 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska was fatally stabbed on the Charlotte mild rail, by which witnesses expressed shock on the unprovoked assault.

    Some 911 callers, whose voices have been altered to guard their identification, supplied descriptions of the suspect, with one describing him as carrying an orange hoodie. 

    One other described the suspect as having dreadlocks, with a hoodie wrapped round his hand. 

    “He is strolling backwards and forwards on the platform,” the caller stated. “He is on the other platform.”

    A witness directed officers to the suspect, 34-year-old Decarlos Brown Jr., the night time of the deadly stabbing, in line with the affidavit. He was charged with first-degree homicide, in line with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Division.
