    Gender Ministry, UN Women Strengthen Partnership to Align Programs with Liberia’s National Development Agenda

    Monrovia, Liberia – The Ministry of Gender, Kids and Social Safety (MoGCSP) and UN Ladies Liberia have pledged stronger collaboration to advance gender equality and inclusive improvement in Liberia.

    On Thursday, August 28, each establishments convened a high-level strategic technical assembly in Monrovia, bringing collectively joint technical groups to harmonize efforts and align packages in assist of the Authorities of Liberia’s Nationwide Growth Plan – the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Growth (AAID).

    Delivering opening remarks, Liberia’s Minister of Gender, Hon. Horace Gbeme-Kollie, reaffirmed the Authorities’s political will and dedication to championing gender equality and social safety. She praised the rising partnership between the Ministry and UN Ladies because the ascendency of the Unity Celebration–led authorities.

    “We should create a real and productive area for collaboration—one constructed on mutual respect, belief, and accountability,” Minister Gbeme-Kollie acknowledged. “This assembly ought to present us with a transparent route on how we are able to strengthen our joint work and obtain measurable outcomes for ladies, youngsters, and susceptible teams throughout Liberia.”

    The Minister additional emphasised the significance of normal info sharing and efficient communication between UN Ladies and the Authorities. She urged UN Ladies to maintain the Ministry up to date on its nationwide actions to make sure alignment with the AAID Agenda.

    “It’s critical that progress, achievements, and ongoing initiatives are constantly shared with the Ministry,” she famous. “It will enable us to stay absolutely knowledgeable, monitor efficiency, and precisely report on how UN Ladies’s interventions contribute to Liberia’s nationwide improvement targets.”

    Echoing this stance, UN Ladies Liberia Nation Consultant, Ms. Consolation Lamptey, described the assembly as well timed and important.

    “Alignment between MoGCSP and UN Ladies is important to make sure our efforts instantly contribute to nationwide priorities below the AAID Agenda,” Ms. Lamptey stated. “This engagement is a chance to mirror on progress, determine gaps, and agree on joint priorities for 2025 and past.”

    The dialogue reaffirmed the shared dedication of MoGCSP and UN Ladies to advancing gender equality, defending the rights of girls and women, and guaranteeing their lively participation in Liberia’s improvement course of.

    Each events agreed to accentuate institutional coordination, streamline program supply, and construct resilience for long-term, nationally owned gender-responsive initiatives.
