The Press Union of Liberia on Thursday devoted its new head workplace on ninth Avenue Sinkor.
PUL president Julius Kanubah mentioned the brand new workplace is a superb begin to collect assist for its personal place.
“We’re encouraging all members to assist assist for the development of our personal place. The brand new place is a superb begin for a greater future,” Mr. Kanubah mentioned.
Mr. Kanubah burdened the necessity for collective efforts amongst all members for the institution of the union’s personal workplace.
Displaying the union’s unique land deed which he mentioned is located on 14 road, the president advised members the significance of proudly owning their very own place for work.
“We’re hopeful with all of you assist to finish the development of our personal headquarters inside the interval of six months in 2026,” he famous.
This system was graced by high authorities officers together with data Minister Jerolinmek Piah, Presidential Press Secretary Kula Fofana, Liberia Nationwide Police Spokesperson Cecelia Clarke, amongst others.
Talking on behalf of the federal government, Minister Piah reaffirmed the federal government’s dedication to supporting the PUL. He reminded members of the federal government’s preliminary US$1000,000 assist to the union and vowed that authorities is keen to do extra.
“If authorities can assist the PUL with that quantity, be assured that the federal government is keen to do extra for the betterment of the media,” the minister added.
