    Liberia: MFDP Launches New Strategic Planning Process to Support AAID Implementation

    Monrovia– The Ministry of Finance and Improvement Planning (MFDP) has launched into the event of its new five-year strategic plan, designed to align intently with the Authorities of Liberia’s ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Improvement.

     Appearing Finance and Improvement Planning Minister, Anthony G. Myers, who additionally serves as Deputy Minister for Fiscal Affairs, mentioned the plan will function a roadmap to strengthen the Ministry’s function because the steward of Liberia’s nationwide improvement technique.

    “This new plan will construct on the teachings of the 2019–2023 strategic framework, what labored, what fell brief, and what must be scaled up or reformed,” Minister Myers defined.

    “The general objective of the MFDP for the following 5 years is to strengthen the capability of our workforce in order that we are able to successfully ship on our core mandate.”

     He emphasised {that a} refreshed strategy is critical because of the many modifications within the Ministry’s capabilities and mandate since its merger with the Ministry of Planning & Financial Affairs in 2013.

     “Lots has modified administratively, legally, and regulatorily. We now want a strategic perspective that enables us to raised coordinate, facilitate, and implement the ARREST Agenda over the following 5 years,” he famous.

     Earlier on the launch, Deputy Finance and Improvement Planning Minister for Administration, Invoice McGill Jones, outlined the planning course of and urged full participation from departmental heads and unit leaders.

     “Sit with the core planning workforce and consultants, share your priorities, and guarantee your voice is a part of this course of,” he mentioned. “As a workforce, our focus should stay on enhancing the lives of all Liberians, addressing challenges comparable to poverty, unemployment, weak infrastructure, and restricted entry to high quality training and healthcare.”

     The brand new strategic plan is not going to solely align with nationwide priorities below the ARREST Agenda but additionally reinforce the MFDP’s central function in shaping inclusive progress and sustainable improvement throughout Liberia.

     The launch introduced collectively Deputy Ministers, Assistant Ministers, Administrators, and Assistant Administrators from throughout the Ministry, symbolizing a unified step towards a stronger and extra responsive MFDP.
