The White Home plans to conduct a wide-ranging assessment of the Smithsonian Establishment’s museum exhibitions, supplies and operations forward of America’s 250th anniversary subsequent 12 months to make sure the museums align with President Donald Trump’s view of American historical past, a White Home official confirmed to ABC Information.
In a letter sent to Lonnie Bunch, the secretary of the Smithsonian Establishment, the White Home writes that it needs to make sure that the museums “mirror the unity, progress, and enduring values that outline the American story.”
The White Home writes that in accordance with a March govt order, “Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History,” officers can be main a “complete inside assessment of chosen Smithsonian museums and exhibitions.
