    “We’re tired with Kush” – Liberians Stage Protest Against Illicit Drugs

    The demonstration, which started this morning, is us organized by the “Say No to Medication” marketing campaign and drew help from civil society teams, scholar organizations, and youth networks. Protesters carried placards and banners calling for pressing and decisive motion from the federal government.

    Lots of the demonstrators are mother and father and kin of victims of drug dependancy. Their message was clear: the federal government should act now to stem the rising drug disaster or danger additional societal collapse.

    “Our kids are dying. We’re mocked in our communities as a result of our little kids have became ‘zombies’ on the streets,” lamented one protester. “We’d like the federal government to take this struggle critically.”

    Protesters are calling for accountability amongst public officers, together with lawmakers and legislation enforcement officers, who they allege are complicit in defending drug traffickers and undermining nationwide efforts to fight the disaster.
