    4-year-old bitten by mountain lion at national park: Officials

    A 4-year-old baby was attacked by a mountain lion at a nationwide park in Washington state, officers stated.

    The incident occurred Sunday afternoon in Olympic Nationwide Park, close to the Victoria Overlook space on Hurricane Ridge, in keeping with the Nationwide Park Service.

    The kid was bitten by the mountain lion whereas strolling with their household on a “fashionable path,” park officers stated.

    Paramedics and park workers responded and transferred the sufferer by way of an air ambulance to a Seattle hospital, the place the kid is present process remedy, park officers stated Monday. No extra particulars on the kid have been launched to guard their privateness, park officers stated.

    Following the assault, park rangers instantly started looking for the collared cougar, which was positioned and dispatched Monday morning, park officers stated.

    “There aren’t any present threats to the general public,” the Nationwide Park Service stated in a press release on Monday.
